Leaving on a jet plane

JessRandy7 300x224 Leaving on a jet plane

I’ve missed this lady!

September has brought me a few really great opportunities for travel. One was to head down to N. Carolina and join the Sock Doc for a MovNat clinic. This is something I’ve always wanted to do so it was hard to pass up (I’ll do one sooner or later!). Another was to attend the Fit Social conference out in Denver/Boulder. I love blogging conferences and I love Colorado, so another tough one to which to say no. But there’s only so much time away from my family (not to mention only so much money) that I’m willing to spend, so choices had to be made.

So what am I doing instead? Heading to Salt Lake City to visit my friend Jess. She moved back in May and I have missed her terribly! She was a fantastic running partner and friend, so I’ve felt her absence like crazy. Now I’ll get four full days with her–days to run, hike, catch up and sightsee. I have been counting the days and now I’m finally off.

And since I’ll be real facing it with Jess, I’m going to check out of social media for the most part until next Monday. I’ll be sure to give you an update and share some pics when I return. Have a great few days–I know I will!

  28. I hear you on how tough it was to say no to the Denver/Boulder conference this past weekend! I actually WON tickets, but I won them FAR TOO CLOSE to the event that the plane flights were $$$$$$ and the hotels were too :( It stinks too because I actually went to CU-Boulder and haven’t been back since 2006! Would have been doubly nice!
