I’ve dropped a couple of hints here and there on Twitter about an upcoming project I had in the works. Today I get to announce exactly what that project is: I’m partnering with Corrigan Sports, the race organization behind the Baltimore Marathon, to launch a new blog for their races!
I can’t tell you what an exciting opportunity this is for me. It has all the right elements to make this my dream gig. First, I get to write (more!) about running. Second, I get to write about my hometown marathon, one that is near and dear to my heart. And third, I get to partner with Corrigan Sports, which I think is one of the top-notch race organizers around. You can’t really top that for an opportunity.
The Baltimore Marathon is Oct. 12, so between now and then, I’ll be writing weekly posts for the new blog on all things Baltimore and the running festival. I’ll post about the course itself, great human interest stories associated with the races, local haunts, and anything and everything participants will need to make the most of their #runBaltimore experience.
So, my dear readers, what I’d love for you to do is head on over the the new blog site and read, subscribe, tweet and otherwise spread the word about this new venture. We want to make sure that anyone running or considering running one of the Baltimore Running Festival events (a 5k, half marathon, marathon and relay) has all the information they need to enjoy the day and weekend. A big thank you in advance!
Have you ever run Baltimore? Are you considering it?
