If you are into cycling or triathlon, I’m betting you are already quite familiar with Pearl Izumi. If you’ve lived the life of a runner only, however, I’d guess maybe the name is new to you. Here’s the thing, though: they are making some pretty big inroads into running with both a clothing line, and now a new running shoe known as the E-Motion line.
Pearl Izumi has designed this shoe differently than others out there. Rather than going for a traditional category, or a minimalist category, Pearl Izumi says that its shoe works with a dynamic offset–one that changes as the foot hits the ground, making the transition from one part of the foot to the other smoother than anything else on the market.
The company nicely offered me a pair to try, but I have pretty much settled in nicely to zero drop shoes the majority of the time these days, so I declined. But they did send me their ultra skirt to try, which I did gladly. Things I liked: the way it felt while I ran—no sliding down and a nice lightweight feel. I also loved the zipper pocket in back, and the fact that the inner lining stayed in place comfortably. Things I didn’t like as well: the length/design–I felt a bit frumpy in it, honestly. It just had more material to it, I guess, than other skirts I’ve tried.
But enough about me and the skirt. What you’re really here for is to get in on the giveaway Pearl Izumi is offering. Up for grabs: A pair of E-Motion shoes, an E-Motion shirt, Pearl Izumi shorts, and Pearl Izumi sun sleeves. A pretty sweet deal, I’d say.
How do you enter? Take a look at the videos Pearl Izumi has about the downsides of running efficiently and then Tweet or Facebook out the video link, tagging both me and Pearl Izumi. You can get some extra entries as well through some of the options below. I’ll pick a winner through Rafflecopter next Wednesday, June 19. Good luck!
