We’ve all heard of plus-size models, and now, apparently, there’s a market for old running models. Kidding, of course, but last night, I got to join a few of my friends for a photo shoot for a local magazine–Woman to Woman, Howard County.
The magazine is putting together an article on running opportunities for women here in my county. They interviewed both me and my friend Robyn (make that very speedy Robyn who is also a chi running coach) and then asked Robyn to get a few female runners together for the photo shoot. She assembled some of my lovely running partners and I’m flattered that Robyn even considered me for the group. When told to wear bright, spring colors, I reached for my Oiselle running singlet, which fit the bill perfectly.
With photographer extraordinnaire Andre behind the lens, we spent about half an hour getting shots at our local park. All of the shots were of the five of us running and I can’t wait to see how they turn out. And like I mentioned above, this was not a group of youngsters–four out of five of us are over 40. Kind of love that.
At the end, I had Andre slum it and take a picture of us with my iPhone to share with you all, and he kindly indulged.
I love the places running can take you. Where has it taken you that you might not have expected?Â

How fun!!!
KINDA LOVE THAT?

All of you ladies are gorgeous! Being in the over 40 club I am loving the fact that a magazine is featuring the more “mature” female. 40 to 44 have been some of the best years of my life. SO excited to see your full photo shoot. PS Love Oiselle so much!

My running and healthy lifestyle changes that I’ve made in the past few years has lead me to working with NuVal and a production company to film my testimonial about the food scoring system. It was a lot of fun to do!

Running took me over the roads of Calistoga to Napa, California. Now I know why runners in California are so happy and motivated …even in the winter, early spring.
That is so cool!!! You all look great!!

Love that this pic was taken in MARCH! Look at that sky and all that skin on those gorgeous models – tanks, shorts, skirts. PERFECT!! Awesome to show that beauty is about being strong, self-confident women and not an age. Can’t wait to see the pro shots.

Good looking bunch! 40 is the new 20 – at least that’s what I tell myself as my body pops and clicks getting out of bed each morning.
