Sunglasses are an essential piece of equipment for me, whether I am running or cycling. You’ll rarely see me without them. However, I hate to pay top dollar for good sunglasses because I do have a habit of breaking them/losing them.
Take for instance, what happened to a pair of my favorites recently: I lost them for about a week, only to have the kids find them by shutting the hatch of the mini-van on them. The glasses? Done. Toast. Bummer.
Enter BTB Sunglasses. This is a company that appreciates where I’m coming from on this. Their promotion is to sell sunglasses with the quality of a $100 pair for less than $50. They recently let me pick out a pair of running sunglasses to try and I went with the BTB 910s.
My impressions? A nice, lightweight pair of sunglasses. They did a good job of filtering out the rays that always bother my eyes. They didn’t jiggle around much, which is a pet peeve of mine with sunglasses. And I like the style.
The only thing I didn’t like was a sense of “waviness” whenever I turned my head one way or another. I got used to it, but it was a bit strange at first. Overall, for the less than $50 price tag, I’d give these glasses high marks. At that price, if I left them on a store checkout counter (who me?), ran over them in the driveway (no, that’s never happened) or stepped on
them (yes, one of the kids has), I could live with it.
Interested in trying a pair? BTB is offering my readers a 20 percent off discount right now. Just enter Zippy20 at checkout and it will be applied. Stay tuned also, because in November, I’ll be giving away a pair.
Disclaimer: BTB gave me these glasses for free to review. All opinions are my own.

alway use to wear sunglasses, but now that I wear normal glasses I just don’t wear them that much any more. I have a nice pair of prescription running sunglasses, but I run a lot of trail and if I run into the shade I loose sight for a bit, not good.
I think I need contacts…

I literally never wear sunglasses, I have no idea why. I have four or five pairs, but wear them maybe once a year. I’m a weirdo, I know.

I have had a pair of Bolle Sunglasses for 5 years now. My wife says if I break or lose them, Im done, so I go the extra mile to make sure they remain around.

I hadn’t heard of these glasses. I have a pair of Maui Jim’s that I love and by some small miracle have managed to not lose …though I think I just jinxed myself

My Maui Jims, rest their soul, met their demise in the back hatch as well. Sigh.

Saw your review in the BTB Tweet stream, I just posted my own review of their BTB2100 Foam model. I’m thinking of using my own promo code to buy more, really like the models with the blue lenses…

I live in my sunglasses as well! And like you….always losing, breaking or just forgetting where in the world they could be! Found my last pair in my biking shoes after I crammed my foot into it! I must have thought that would have been a safe place to store them…if I had only remembered that! hahaha
Thanks for the review. I don’t always wear sunglasses, but there is definitely a time for them. BTW, I’m old enough to get the ‘wear your sunglasses at night’ reference.

I always run with sunglasses, usually my Ryders Hex – but perhaps I’ll have to try these out1

I’m trying out a pair of these right now too, and while they’re good glasses, there’s no way I’d ever pay $100 for them! Have fun with the giveaway!
