Thought that might get your attention! But before I get to the details, let me give you some background.
When I turned 40, a friend of mine gave me a great set of notecards. They were the best–great athletic-inspired phrases coupled with pictures of a running shoe, a bike, and a bathing suit. I loved them and used them up quickly.
Last fall, when I began blogging, one of the first sites I came across was A Bold Pace. I immediately loved it–it was written by a group of 40-something running friends from Philadelphia. They reminded me of my group of running friends; I have also lived in the Philadelphia area, so I related on that level too. Their posts were well written and full of great links. One of those links was to Remanents.com, which, it just so happens, is where my great notecards originated. You see, Monica, the owner of Remanents and one of the “long-distance friends” who blogs on A Bold Pace, designs those great notecards.

This year when my friend Liliana moved to Texas, I knew I wanted to send her off with some notecards from Remanents. When I ordered them, Monica recognized my name from our correspondence and sent me a tee and a few cards to go with them.

Now, Monica has teamed up with Kara Goucher to design a tee for charity. You can read all about it here. And for one lucky follower who purchases a tee, Monica will have Kara Goucher put her John Hancock on it. Here’s how to enter:
- Go to Remanents, look around and tell me what you like best.
- Like Remanents on Facebook.
- Become a MissZippy follower and tell me.
- Spread the word on your blog, Twitter or Facebook for extra entries.
I’ll pick a winner on Random.org on Saturday, Aug. 7. The winner will purchase a tee and then Monica will send it off to Kara for an autograph (be patient, Kara is in Oregon) and send it back to you. Good luck!
